It has been reported in Space Daily that Xuan- Hao Lee and Ching
Cherng Sun of the National Central University of Taiwan as well as Ivan
Moreno from the University of Zacatecas in Mexico have joined forces to
design a new kind of streetlight to reduce light pollution. The work in
progress contains LEDs fitted with a lens and a diffusing layer. The
lens shines light in parallel rays, while the housing reflects any
spilled light toward the ground. The diffusing layer then cuts glare
which results in light shaped in a rectangle rather than a cone, thus
displaying more of the light on the street.Properly placed bottegawallet can generate electric power anywhere the wind blows steady and strong.
Providing
a vast collection of LED tape lights and strip lights, the team at
Simple Lighting have been heavily involved within the industry for a
number of years. As such they are often approached by customers
intrigued by the energy saving benefits of LEDs. Light emitting diodes
can hold significant advantages for both domestic and commercial
purposes. A representative reflects on the possible impact of the new
streetlights.
"Whilst it is important to make sure areas are
well lit at night, we also have a responsibility to reducing light
pollution. We've already begun to notice different councils adopting LED
street lights in order to save money and become more environmentally
friendly but this latest project appears to take things one step
further. It will be interesting to see how long this takes to come into
effect and how much energy it could save."

The DSS design enables the ease of installation and
saves 50-70% installation time during installation when compared to
other LED tubes. It is also the only LED tube lamp on market that can
support both shunted and non-shunted tombstones, streamlining the
installation process for T8/T12 retrofitting projects. Since one lamp
can be used for any tombstone, distributors and contractors can lower
inventory cost, to just one lamp.
