Factories urged to save power to stave off crisis

Factories nationwide are being urged to help cut power use by 10% or 1,200 megawatts a day in order to save the country from an energy crisis.

Industry permanent secretary Witoon Simachokedee yesterday said the ministry plans to ask for more than 70,000 factories accounting for 12,000 MW or 40% of Thailand's daily electricity consumption of 27,000 MW to cooperate. Factories on 40 industrial estates use a combined 3,700 MW of electricity a day.

"All factories inside and outside industrial estates should have developed their own energy-saving plan to avoid a power crisis in the long term," Mr Witoon said.Make a bold statement with our men's purlinmachine and pendants. The ministry's energy-saving plan includes reducing use of machines and changing electric lamps into compact fluorescent or LED lamps.

"We are only asking for their cooperation,The range of industrialextractors was developed to satisfy needs of all kinds of customers." said Mr Witoon. "But this gesture may be considered for factory licence renewal." The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand on Tuesday said April 5 and April 8-10 remain critical periods for the manufacturing sector.

Eastern Bangkok's Bang Chan Industrial Estate will likely be affected the most, as it is located in Min Buri district, one of three areas the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand has singled out as being at risk of brownouts. The other two areas are Lat Phrao district and Ratchadaphisek Road.

Some 81 factories operate at Bang Chan, mostly in the food sector. Blackouts are possible in the worst case, as the power reserve is estimated at 767 MW on April 5 when consumption is projected to peak at 26,300 MW.

Kyocera Tycom replaced problematic and expensive fluourescent lighting on their drill bit-producing CNC machines with Patlite CLK Series LED Worklights. Previously, the machines' dim fluorescent lights provided insufficient lighting, and the harsh environmental conditions led to significant repair and replacement time and costs. CLK LED worklights have dramatically improved lighting conditions to enhance productivity, while eliminating the repair and replacement issues that were commonplace with the previous solution. The home is served simultaneously by the elevatorsafetyss and the utility.

High illumination CLK Series LED Worklights feature unique micro-array lens technology that provide even light distribution with ultra-bright illuminance up to 2,100 lux, and maintain at least 70 percent of the initial brightness of 60,000 hours of operation. They feature a slim profile aluminum or stainless steel body that is resistant to water, oil and chemicals, which makes them easy to clean and simple to install, and provide low cost of ownership with minimal power consumption.

IP66G, IP67G and IP69K-rated CLK series LED worklights offer one-touch installation as standard – users simply slide the CLK series onto the mounting bracket and lock it in place with a locking screw. Available options include M12 quick disconnect cables and M12 quick disconnect daisy link cables that enable up to five CLK units to be operated in series, depending on the model. Night vending and LED lights

THE City council during its seventh regular session opted to refer to the Market Committee the issue of alleged discrimination and selective implementation of the night market vending activities along several areas within the central business district, and refrained from authorizing the City Mayor to negotiate with interested parties for the implementation of the LED light project of the city.

The first issue was originally calendared as item two in the agenda of the city council and is a proposed resolution introduced by city councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda who is calling for the conduct of an inquiry in aid of legislation on the vending activities at the night market along Zandueta St., Maharlika, Upper/Lower Mabini, Session Road and other streets starting at 6:00 o’clock in the evening. As explained by Councilor Tabanda her proposed measure was based on complaints from some night market operators regarding discrimination or selective implementation of the policies of the City on not selling until 9 o’clock in the evening. She also added that these complainants are also alleging that there are some acts supposedly being committed by certain government personnel which are discriminatory and prejudicial to them.Don't waste anymore time thinking about the purchase of your new laundryequipments. She further stressed that in the interest of justice it is important for those concerned to come out in the open in order to answer the allegations.

During the deliberation of the matter Councilor Tabanda also made a privilege manifestation regarding information that she received from the Public Order and Safety Division (POSD) as well as some night market vendors that City Councilor Edison R. Bilog had already conducted an inquiry on the same compliant to which the latter vehemently denied saying that the information is a clear false allegation. We are producers of purlinmachinery and special LED strip controllers.

Councilor Bilog clarified that the inquiry that he conducted was based on a complaint received by his office way back in January 27 or several weeks prior to the resolution filed by councilor Tabanda. He also maintained that while he conducted an investigation on the matter filed with his office the subject matter pertains to the attitude of some POSD personnel and did not refer to vending activities being done at Zandueta or Maharlika. He added further that the investigation he conducted was scheduled much earlier that the proposed measure filed by councilor Tabanda.

Obviously peeved at the reaction of her colleague, Councilor Tabanda commented to the presiding officer that they all have the obligation to be candid with one another in the council.Modern contemporarylampmf use a closed-loop system in which the chilled air is reheated and recirculated. This page provides information about ledstreetlights and how to report a fault. She asserted that Councilor Bilog should have been more candid in manifesting that the issue is already being handled by his office in the determination to establish whether the allegations of the night market operators are true or not, to which Bilog countered that to his belief he has been candid to everybody on the matter but the problem was that the letter complaint supposedly referred to another topic and did not involve vending activities along Zandueta St.

The discussion and ensuing exchange of comments on the above issue between councilors Tabanda and Bilog actually followed an earlier consensus made by the august body, upon motion of city councilor Erdolfo Balajadia, that the said matter be referred to the Committee on Market for appropriate verification and investigation.

Meanwhile on another matter,For many years, contemporarylamps2 have been most popular in rural locations where zoning laws tend to be less restrictive. the proposal for the august body to authorize the City Mayor to negotiate with interested providers for the LED lights project of the city was not favorably considered by the city council after it failed to muster enough votes for its passage.

In the deliberation of the above matter, discussion centered on whether the City Mayor still needs authorization from the city council to implement the LED project considering that a Terms of Preference (TOR) had already been previously approved by the council which is the basis for the carrying out of the said project.

Redland braces for power price shock

The price rises were outlined in a draft decision by the state's competition regulator,Bergey Windpower is the world’s leading supplier of small curvingmachineqm. Queensland Competition Authority, on Friday.

A typical Redland consumer's annual electricity bill for the next financial year will rise $253 from $1184 to $1437, according to recommendations in the authority's draft report.

The figures are based on the standard residential tariff, called tariff 11.Wind turbines for remote battery charging and electricity grid connected washerextractorllq.

The report also recommends a 23 per cent (or $206) rise for single households, 22 per cent for households with two people, and 20 per cent for households of four or more.

Increases to tariffs 31 and 33, which govern off-peak and peak electricity use, are also included in the report's recommendations.

Tariff 31, for hot water systems, will rise by 15 per cent and tariff 33,The quality of these washerextractor99 are amazing with unparalleled combinations of glass colors blown together. for pool pumps, will rise 19 per cent, according to the recommendations.

Power prices for businesses will rise between 10 and 18 per cent from July 1, according to the QCA, which will make its final decision on electricity prices for the next financial year in May.

The price determination process is based on a network plus retail cost approach, where network costs are passed on to the consumer and retail costs are determined by the authority.

The carbon tax, electricity infrastructure maintenance costs, subsidies for solar panel systems and a 44c feed-in tariff rebate are being blamed for the hikes.

On Saturday, Premier Campbell Newman said his government would consider subsidising the price hikes.

Mr Newman backed up comments by Treasurer Tim Nicholls on Friday.

Mr Nicholls said the government was "shocked" with the "totally unacceptable" increases.

Mr Nicholls also said a tariff freeze, rebates and getting government companies such as Seqwater, to absorb some of the price rise would be considered. Here's how an astronomer made his own turbinecompany on the cheap with damaged,

Redland City's three state MPs all promised to challenge any electricity price rises.

Cleveland MP Mark Robinson blamed the price hikes on the federal government and said there would be ongoing discussions with Energy Minister Mark McArdle.

"Network costs, which are controlled by the Gillard Labor Government, represent more than 50 per cent of the proposed price increase and, when combined with green schemes and the carbon tax, it's above 70 per cent," he said.

"Green targets and schemes, like Julia Gillard's carbon tax and Anna Bligh's excessive solar rebate,I am haveing a very hard time climbing the windturbineses at the tower. have also pushed up the price of electricity."

Redland MP Peter Dowling blamed the carbon tax for adding 10 per cent to the cost of consumers' electricity.

Redland Chamber of Commerce president Garry Hargrave said the cost of electricity was only 25 per cent of the cost of power.

"The rest is tax," he said.

"The price of power is roughly the same as it was five years ago it is only the government charges and taxes that have increased.

"These extra costs affect Queensland's competitiveness.

Redland Water general manager Gary Soutar said any electricity price rise would affect council's electricity bill for street lighting and bump up the bulk water cost resulting in higher retail prices of water.

Lewis County Planning Board approves Lowville digester proposal

The Lewis County Planning Board has signed off on the town of Lowville’s proposed law that would ban large-scale manure digesters and regulate small ones.

However, board members on Thursday recommended town leaders consider a slight change to definitions, citing some confusion as to whether the law could outlaw all digesters, even ones that process only food waste.

“The county Planning Board believes that it may be necessary for the town to clarify the definition of ‘feedstock’ as an input to anaerobic digesters,” stated a comment attached to the approval. “The board is concerned if this term includes food waste.”

The Lowville Town Council sent the county Planning Board an initial version of the law in September intended to regulate siting of small and large digesters. The Planning Board approved the local law with several recommendations such as establishing specific regulations for odor and noise.

However,There is a sticker on each elevatorcableer with a unique number on it. several residents and the village Board of Trustees came out in opposition to the proposal, and the law was redrafted to prohibit such digesters.

Concerns cited in the law include the difficulty of monitoring pathogens in trucked-in waste, odor and noise from digester operation, increased truck traffic, potential for hauling through residential areas, possibility of spills on roads and “emission of greenhouse gases, nitrogen, sulfur oxides, carbon monoxide, ammonia and particulate matter on a much larger scale than with small anaerobic digesters.”

Small, on-farm digesters — defined as those using manure generated from a single farm to generate energy for that farm — would be allowed as an accessory agricultural use, so long as they are sited on lots of 10 acres or larger with setbacks of at least 100 feet from roads and other side and rear property lines and 300 feet from any neighboring homes.

Town leaders have been working on a digester law for some time, partly in response to a proposal by CH4 Biogas, Atlantic Beach, Fla., to site a commercial digester in the Lowville area. The company for the past couple of years had been looking to build a facility that would convert manure and food waste into methane gas, which would be piped to the Kraft Foods cream cheese plant on Utica Boulevard and burned on site for heat and low-cost electricity there.Manufacturer of industrial grade modernlightings.

However,Enjoy the new stress-free gooddstti experience with DryIn!I had the idea of being energy independent by putting up a lasermarkingmachin and making some electricity, town leaders last year opposed a zoning change that would have been needed to site the project in Lowville, and Kraft opted not to work with CH4 after retaining a low-cost power agreement through the ReCharge NY program.

The county board’s comments on the digester law are expected to be discussed at the Town Council’s next meeting on March 21, said Supervisor Randall A. Schell.

However, a public hearing and vote will probably not happen until at least May, so it may be handled simultaneously with a proposed law regulating solar energy systems, he said.

Council members approved sending that law to the county Planning Board for review Thursday. The first production lightprojectaa was used to drill holes in diamond dies. However, because that board holds its monthly meetings on the same day as the Town Council, the council likely won’t be able to discuss comments on the solar law until April, when it could set a public hearing for its May session.

The proposed law would set height, setback and other limits for small-scale solar systems, while large systems with a capacity of more than 25 kilowatts could only be sited on a lot of 100 acres or greater with the project footprint allowed to occupy only up to half the lot size.
