SGM's secret is out

September 12, 2012 was the day that SGM’s, Peter Johansen, did his damnedest to upstage the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 5 and ECB banking reforms in one fell swoop.

Declaring after taking over lighting company, SGM, last February that his days of producing moving lights were finished forever, word leaked out during PLASA in London last week that his R&D team had in fact been feverishly developing radically different LED Spot, Wash and Beam fixtures from their skunk works in arhus, Denmark.

Up to that point SGM had been denying rumours that they were about to re-enter the moving head arena. And although full details will continue to remain secret, the product’s big USP is that it will be IP65-rated and promises to boast the most compact form factor in the market; it will also incorporate only essential features in a low-weight chassis,These remote flameless carledbulb02 provide all around functions for any decoration purposes. outputting 850W. “This spec was put together after many discussions with rental companies,” said Johansen.

But now — with the genius of boffins, Kallestrup and Jan Pedersen, at work again — he believes he is on the verge of repeating his pioneering exploits in the brave new world of LED.

“We had wanted to keep this under wraps,Racial ledstriplight are typically the first mounts players will acquire.” stated Johansen, “but then someone got hold of our product pipeline and leaked it. When one of our key distributors heard about it, they placed an order for more than 2,000 fixtures … even though we will not be launching the range until the Prolight+Sound Show in Frankfurt next April.”

“We are planning on being open on Oct. 1,” said Scott Simpson, president and an owner of TS Reis Inc., the operating arm of the investment group, TSC Capital, which purchased the garage. “I’m excited about the amount of interest in parking there.”

Located across the street from the Council Bluffs YMCA, the garage has been closed since the summer of 2008 after large steel beams supporting the garage floors collapsed. Attempts to fix the problem failed over the years until Simpson’s group bought the garage early this year. Renovation efforts moved into full swing in late June.

The major structural work is completed, along with improvements to the entry and exit ramps to the upper level, according to Simpson. Those ramps have new concrete, plus a coating to protect the surface and prevent slippage in wet weather.

The only work remaining involves new striping of the 285 parking stalls, the installation of gates on the street and basement levels and installation of a new “Park” sign to replace the current,LED lamps are made that replace screw-in incandescent or goodledlamp light bulbs. decaying sign, Simpson said.A short video on how to engage the bestledlightbulbs on a roof ladder. The new sign will feature LED lights and red lettering, he said.

“It’s better than new,” Simpson said of the renovations.

The gated street and basement levels will be reserved for monthly parking, Simpson said. The monthly fee will be $48, he said.

The upper level will be for daily parking featuring, at least for the time being, an honor box to put the money in, he added. Gated parking for the upper level may come later, he said. Daily parking will be $5.
